Streets of Copenhagen, a snapshot through my camera.

The evening I should attend a Christmas dinner, but need to kill 3 hours from checking in at the hotel to when the diner starts. Why not go for a photo walk in Copenhagen!

Leaving the Hotel, just opposite the road the old police station, where I wanted to shoot the lamps outside the entrance, next up I started walking against the city center, stoped shooting some random pictures just to warm up, and fell the summing in the city.

Crazy enough, when I entered the square of the danish parlement “Christiansborg” there was a wedding couple, they just arrived with an other photographer, who was setting up, I took some pictures without them complaining. I only shoot the bride as she already posed to me…

Next stop, “Amalienborg” where our king lives, here I just wanted a classic picture of the guards passing by, I love those young people just walking there every day, with thousand of turist looking.

Next up I wanted to train some “panning” and in Copenhagen there are so many cycle patch, where cyclist passes every second.

It is great fun, but I found out that with my “little” Sony a6400 without IBIS, it is more difficult then with my work horse Sony a7IV.

They are shoot with 1/40s and 1/30s, f2.8 which does not make the field of focus better when they pass by.

The next hour I just shoot what I passed by, blue hour started, so good opportunities “Nyhavn” to crowded to do any good, but just took a quick snapshot. Nothing planed just snapshots what I passed by, just walking around and being a bit creative is always great, specially in a big city where nobody ask “why you take those pictures”.

Still doing “blue hour” I went to the big park “Botanisk Have” here it was possible to get a few of those nice pictures with the warm light from the windows against the cold blue sky, I love those pictures, and will for sure in the future do more of that style.

When it got darker, I went for the busy walking street “Strøget” here I was attracted to the people selling hot food, it looked amazing with the steam and atmosphere. the pictures are nothing special, but fun to take and edit.

In the end it started raining, perfect for reflections, but I need to attend the Christmas dinner, and come back an other time.

Copenhagen is great and fun, people are positive and plenty of atmosphere 📸

See you on the next adventure…..
