I photographed London, day 2.

After day one, where I arrived at lunch, a bit of rain, day 2 must start! Still some rain, not full but a lot of showers blows in.

I took the Tube to Bank “Central line” direct, Bank is crazy busy in the morning as everybody needs to go to work, and right out of the station there was a picture of all the “old” ond “new” buildings.

Next up, down to London Bridge, here I wanted to get a bit creative with “The Shard” the biggest building I wanted to have both, long exposure 30 seconds (10 stop filter) and std. like 1/125 second, up with the tripod and play around, this is what I love, setting up the tripod - mount the camera and se what can be created, with filter or without.

Here it is such a difference in the sky and water, with 10 stop filter and 30 seconds exposure, all gets smoothen out 📸

Next 2 pictures is at the bridge with the fence as leading line, last under the bridge with the bridge making the frame.

Passing the bridge down to the riverside and here was again a picture of the skyline, it was now so dark and raining but it needed to come in the case.

Now just walking against Tower Bridge, there were not so many pictures new shots, as the tide was to low to my taste, so I wanted to wait with Tower Bridge until it gets dark.

But I took a huge panorama nearly 180 degrees, no master piece just did it, and here it is very visual the low tide..

BUT, I took 1 picture of Tower Bridge, I had a task in my head to get some “creative” pictures, and my mission was to get London marks with the red double decker passing and exposure long enough to make it move through the frame.

Making the way to Saint Paul's Cathedral, it is a must, and there are 2 shoots everybody wants to have in the portifolio.

  1. Picture is from a small shopping street on the way, and I saw the perfect picture with the man standing outside the Pub, looking in the phone and smoking.

  2. Picture a classic with the drain as leading line, and reflections from the shopping center.

  3. Picture was my project, again playing with exposure to get London marks with the red double decker passing and exposure long enough to make it move through the frame.

Passing Millennium Bridge to get the picture with the bridge and Saint Paul's Cathedral.

Next hours was stamped for relaxing, back to the hotel up with the legs, edit some photos, and waiting for the sun to go down so I can get night pictures. OK on the way why not have some phonebooks in the box.
